Gait Training with RAS (Rhythmic Auditory Stimulation) for Stroke, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis & Traumatic Brain Injury Patients
Parkinson's Disease Goals:
1. Increase stride length, take bigger steps
2. Emphasize heel strike with heel/toe gait pattern to decrease toe walking
3. Improve posture and balance
4. Use stop and go techniques to work on initiation and coordination while walking
5. Work on arm swing and trunk rotation with gait
6. Increase duration to work on endurance
7. Improve ability to walk through doorways
